By early afternoon of the beginning of Indian Summer 2004, the combination of high temperatures, smoke from a forest fire, and the exhaust of tens of thousands of vehicles below; gave San Francisco the appearance of an industrial city.  However, during a news radio interview with one of the local environmental folks, we were told the air quality was just fine.  Digital photo by City Birds.
