| This is a portion of a large picture which hangs, along with other historical photos, in the hall of the refurbished Letterman General Hospital which is now part of the Thoreau Center for Sustainability.
The picture records a visit by President William McKinley during May 1901. Notice that the hospital as shown in this picture has only two floors. Two years after the President's visit a third floor was added. A City Birds digital photo. |
