Winter 2004-5 in San Francisco was long and wet.  During a break in the weather, we joined tourists savoring the fine weather and relaxed ambiance of the City.  We stopped at Union Square then wandered down to Market Street, tourists were lined up around the cable car turn-around waiting for their first cable car ride.  We wandered into Hallidie Plaza, a fine hideaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Francisco.  We boarded a Muni Metro train, getting off at Civic Center where we were met by birds charged up by Spring weather.  Published June 1, 2005, updated July 24, 2010.
