December 2005 was about the wettest December in 60 years here in Northern California including San Francisco.  A lot of damage was done by the day-after-day rain, and wind falling trees and power lines planted in ground too saturated to hold them in place.  The night of December 19th, a weather alert warned of high tides and a big storm off the coast by morning of the 20th.  We headed out to the coast early morning.  Although the storm had been somewhat downgraded by then, the coast was misty, windy and stormy.  As the morning passed by, there was a temporary lull in the storm, brightening things up a bit.  You can also see and hear this storm on our Video.  Gallery Twenty-nine was first published January 9, 2006 by City Birds.
