 Crissy Field |
This slide show features the Crissy Field area of San Francisco. Included are pictures of the field, old U.S. Army buildings, interior and exterior shots of Fort Point, and, of course, the Golden Gate Bridge. Included is a Locator Map. This slide show was first published by City Birds September 4, 2006. |
 The De Young Museum |
San Francisco has two fine arts museums. Whereas the Legion of Honor, seen in Gallery Thirty-five, houses collections of antiquities and European art; the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park primarily displays American art of all periods. Opened in 2006, the architecture of the de Young Museum stands in stark contrast to that of the Legion of Honor Museum. The de Young is certainly an interesting example of modern architecture. A Locator Map is included. This slide show was first published by City Birds September 4, 2006.

 San Francisco Fleet Week |
Although the City Birds Site has numerous pictures of Fleet Week planes and a Fleet Week air show video, we rather neglected the Parade of Ships. Among other ships, this gallery features two of the ships included in the 2006 Fleet Week Celebration held the weekend of October 7-8th. Also included are four pictures of airborne Blue Angels, U.S. Marines' C-130 support plane and a USCG C-130 from past San Francisco Fleet Week Celebrations. This slide show was first published by City Birds September 4, 2006.
