City Scenes of Bangkok, Thailand
August 18, 2010 -- Bangkok, Thailand is a modern city with gleaming skyscrapers and modern industry. Like all cities, Bangkok has a full range of rich, middle-class and poor folks. This post is a glimpse into the beauty and the life of this vibrant city.
Bangkok is a hot humid Southeast Asia city with a metropolitan population of
around 12 million people. Strenuous work or exercise is done before or after the heat of day
or in air-conditioned buildings. Keeping hydrated is essential in such heat.
This posts includes scenes of the river traffic on the Chao Phraya River and
one of several modern bridges which cross the river. The river is essential
for both commerce and transportation. From the river can be seen modern
skyscrapers and Buddhist temples in the background. Close to 95% of the
people of Thailand are Buddhists.
Not neglected in this post are the people of Bangkok -- from bodybuilders to
Boy Scouts and children at play.
