April 22, 2013 -- This post features a variety of scenes featuring Twenty-first Century Seoul, South Korea. This beautiful and green city of over ten million people is a thriving economic powerhouse. The people are educated and have a high standard of living.
Although the downtown is large, the buildings are not crowded together in the manner of some cities. Further, Seoul's greening efforts are paying off with such things as a stream running through the downtown with fountains and waterfalls and lots of trees, shrubs and flowers.
Compare Seoul today with Seoul during 1963, ten years after the guns went silent. The difference is dramatic. This world class city has come a long way in 50 years.
